The history of FORIS AG began with an innovation in 1998: the invention of commercial litigation funding. A lot has happened since then. We are now also one of the leading providers in trading with shelf companies and provide a range of legal services for start-ups and companies.

FORIS AG is a listed stock corporation and listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. The majority of shares are held by private investors. We are an independent group, which has many advantages. On the one hand, we do not have to take into account a parent company in the background when making our decisions. On the other hand, this allows us to keep our internal processes lean and efficient. In litigation financing, it doesn’t matter to us who your opponent is – our independence allows us to make all financing decisions freely and to focus exclusively on what will ensure the success of your process.

FORIS invented litigation funding in 1998. With this innovation, everyone can enforce their claims. Obtaining justice is no longer a question of money, existing insurance, or the strength of the opposing party. At the start, FORIS carefully assesses the prospects of success in the case, thereby protecting you from futile disputes. If we are convinced of your success, we assume the risk for all litigation costs, i.e., your own attorney’s fees, court and expert costs, and in the event of a loss, also the costs of the opposing party’s attorney. In the event of success, FORIS receives a previously agreed portion of the proceeds. This ensures that FORIS will do everything possible for you to win and achieve the best possible outcome.

To date, over 15,000 claimants have entrusted us with cases involving a total dispute value of more than 300 billion EURO for review. Numerous renowned lawyers and experts trust FORIS’s expertise and recommend us to their clients. We have financed and supported over 1,000 cases with a very high success rate, to the delight of our customers.

FORIS has also been offering shelf companies for more than 20 years. For those who want to start immediately, FORIS keeps all common company forms ready and fully established—such as SE, AG, GmbH, GmbH & Co. KG, UG. You can quickly and securely acquire these, optionally with a bank account, so that your new company is immediately operational. Just like over 12,000 satisfied buyers before you.

FORIS also provides comprehensive services around established companies, allowing entrepreneurs to focus on their core business and free themselves from bureaucratic burdens. Over 40,000 customers have been convinced by this offering. Since 2022, more than 2,000 customers have also taken advantage of FORIS’s Transparency Register service.

The offering is rounded off by numerous free service tools. For example, you can enter your dispute value into the litigation cost calculator and instantly see the risk for each instance and all instances combined. Unique is the break-even analysis, showing how much you need to win to generate a surplus after deducting the proportional costs. This is especially important for settlement negotiations. Additionally, FORIS provides a module for day-accurate interest calculations. The interest claims during the duration of proceedings are often underestimated. It is advantageous to know the exact amount and use it as a basis for any settlement negotiations. With the Trade Register Speedcheck tool, you can check the processing times of registrations at various court locations.

In 2024, FORIS initiated the first litigation funding fund. With this fund, it is now possible to finance legal disputes with extremely high dispute values. The range thus spans from 100,000 EURO up to 100 million EURO and more. This elevates FORIS to one of the very few litigation funders worldwide with such a broad financing range. At the same time, FORIS’s independence in its financing decisions remains fully preserved. There continue to be no opposing parties that we exclude.
