Client unsure about legal costs and risks? With litigation funding, promising cases do not need to be dropped simply for cost reasons.
Good case.
Secure funding.
Create a win/win situation with our litigation funding. Your client has no worries about the costs. You have no worries about your remuneration.
Client unsure about legal costs and risks? With litigation funding, promising cases do not need to be dropped simply for cost reasons.
You first need to recruit additional plaintiffs to make a case interesting? No problem – we can also fund preliminary costs.
Complex case that will involve a lot of work? Make sure you receive appropriate fees, even above and beyond the RVG.
Small and large cases? No problem, we finance amounts in dispute from EUR 100,000 to well over EUR 100 million.
A funding application is particularly promising if the following conditions are met:
The value of your claim is at least EUR 100,000.
The merits of your case are considered to be good.
The defendant has a solid credit rating.
In principle, revenue sharing must be possible depending on the type of claim.
From contract and antitrust law to large international arbitrations, almost any case can benefit from litigation funding. With our FORIS Centris Litigation Financing Fund I, we’ve significantly expanded our range. We now fund claims from EUR 100,000 to over EUR 100 million, an exceptional market span.
You or your attorney provide us with initial documents for our funding review, including a statement of the facts and a legal opinion. Our Litigation Funding team is available for a preliminary consultation by phone: +49 228 95750-50.
FORIS reviews your case, clarifies any follow-up questions and determines whether your matter can be funded. In this case we would also discuss possible funding models with you and agree on the overall strategy.
Following a positive review, we would provide you with a detailed funding offer for your review and consideration. Our offer would include the scope of the funding and our proposal for the distribution of proceeds in the event of success. If you agree, the funding agreement would be concluded.
Your lawyer handles the litigation of your claim and FORIS pays all invoices. If necessary or helpful, FORIS is available for assistance or coordination. We are happy to contribute our experience – in your best interests.
Once the proceedings have been concluded, any amounts recovered from the respondent are paid out to you, after retaining our agreed share in the proceeds. You will receive an itemized statement from us, which you can use in case you are able to claim tax deductions. If, contrary to our expectations, your case is lost, FORIS would cover all further resulting costs – but this is our problem and nothing you need to be concerned about.
